Three days before Supreme prepares to release its long awaited collabo with industry giant DiGiorno Pizza, lines have already begun to form. The collaboration came to fruition in response to street wear enthusiasts’ demand for a more “Banging off the chain” brand of do-it-yourself pizza. Supreme creative director
Brendon Babenzien said “Their perseverance and commitment to quality in a time of two-bit swagger jackers really paralleled Supreme’s beliefs and journey through the industry. Also, their abundant use of toppings truly represented what it is to be Supreme.” When asked about other possible collaborations, Babenzein told us, “There really was no other choice. Mama Celeste lacked what we thought was necessary in the toppings department as were Antonio’s and
Tombstone, which had initially been chosen due to their “hardbody” name.” The first five hundred released will also include an “exclusive” Supreme pizza cutter sure to be sought after by true collectors. In preparation for the launch Supreme NYC has converted their normal retail space to a pizza parlor for the day, dolling out the pizza with the delivery taste that is actually not delivery but instead Digorno….SUPREME!
The release is expected to retail for $115.00 a box and have already leaked onto E-bay for $310.00 pre sale.
